Singer Parashqevi Simaku will leave the hospital on Wednesday, announces Elton Ilirjani, who has been taking care of her over the past few weeks.
The artist will be housed in her new home, Ilirjani said.
"Her journey will resume, I will go and give her the good news, which she is eagerly awaiting. I will also bring her spinach pie, which she loves very much. This does not mean that everything is over. I know that when she comes out, she will continue with her desires, with the way she sees this whole situation, but we will be there to help her. This has been a month of much pain, of hope, of fear, but we are getting through it."
Ilirjani asked for help with the care Parashqevija needs after she completes her treatment at the New York psychiatric hospital.
"I call on all Albanian women, those who have free time, to help us during the accommodation of Simak in her new home. Or to stay with her during the day and night, to stay close to her. I would like to do this job 24/7, but my conditions do not allow me. I have no words for this whole experience, it has been very beautiful and very tiring."
Elton Ilirjani pointed out that few Albanian artists have supported and helped Parashqevi Simaku financially. According to him, even colleagues from Parashqevi's generation have helped less than others.
Due to this difficult situation, Ilirjani claims that he has started smoking cigarettes.
"To de-dramatize the situation, I'm asking for help, to quit smoking, which I've been smoking for a week. I know it's damaging to my health, my skin, my career. I've experienced this situation a lot. Leaving the hospital doesn't mean the problem is over, it means the work starts here."
While saying he was forced to cancel his participation in Korean Fashion Week, Ilirjani hopes that Simak will be in the front row when he walks the catwalk during New York Fashion Week.
