"Big Brother Vip" promoted violence against women, "Klan

The Independent Media Commission in Kosovo has fined "Klan Kosova" television with 30,000 euros, after promoting violence against women through "Big Brother".

The news was announced by the media lawyer, Flutura Kusari. She called this a "historic" decision by the IPC, adding that the promotion of violence against women, the denigration of communities and the harming of children through television content do not pass.

"We won the case against Big Brother and Klan Kosova! 30,000 euros fine for Klan Kosova that through Big Brother promoted psychological violence against a victim of violence, allowed derogatory language and allowed the use of vulgar vocabulary to protect children.

This is a historic decision of the IPC, based on eight complaints, which shows that the promotion of violence against women, the denigration of communities and the harming of children through television content is not allowed in Kosovo. Big Brother has now taken on the epithet of the show promoting violence against women. Will Klan Kosova change its approach or continue the same approach?

Well done KPM! This is a big step for our society! Albania's model for increasing viewership through violence does not apply to Kosovo. Point. The decision will be published in the future and if I have time I will analyze it in detail.

Thank you for your attention.

SP, for those interested in the legal basis, IPC has used exactly article 3.1 of the Code of Ethics on which I based the complaint, as well as articles 4 and 5 of the Code", writes Kusari on the Facebook social network.

After this news, many followers of this reality show format have unanimously raised the question of whether such measures should be taken in Albania as well.
