Drake, one of the most popular rappers in the world, donated $10,000 to a fan who won a cake contest hosted by Casuals Cakery in his hometown of Toronto.
In the competition held on Saturday, fans competed by dressing up as the "God's Plan" rapper, bringing different styles from his iconic looks over the years. After the news of the contest, the organizing confectionary shared a message on Instagram where it showed that Drake himself had contributed "10 bands" ($10,000) for the main prize.
"Yes, this is true and real! I hope the Drake doppelgängers are ready,” Casuals Cakery wrote in its post.
Makayla Chambers, who shined with her look as "Girl Drake," took home the big prize. She had recreated Drake's style with hair pulled back into two ponytails, a fake beard, an oversized beige sweater and black pants - inspired by a look the rapper had earlier this year.
Many others participated in the contest with different versions of Drake, such as "Ozempic Drake," "Denim Drake" and "Durag Drake," as shown in a video shared by influencer Anthony Po.
Drake himself, 38, posted moments from the competition on social media, writing, "I love this city," along with a laughing emoji.
