Documents recently released by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) show that Jeffrey Epstein had received an invitation to the premiere of the film World War Z in 2013, a production starring actor Brad Pitt.
According to the documents, the invitation was for the premiere screening at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, followed by a private reception at the 21 Club restaurant. The invitation named Brad Pitt and former Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey, and stated that it was non-transferable.
The files do not clarify who was responsible for compiling the guest list, and there is no evidence that Brad Pitt had any knowledge or direct role in sending the invitation. There are also no photos or evidence to confirm Epstein's presence at the event. However, the documents include an email sent by Epstein himself after the premiere, in which he wrote: "Thank you! The premiere was fun!!!".
The documents do not indicate whether Epstein had any contact with Pitt during the event. After the show, the actor was seen chatting with Hollywood celebrities including Jimmy Fallon, Bruce Willis, Kevin Bacon and others.
Other files included in the same publication suggest that Epstein received information and updates on Brad Pitt's personal life. According to the materials, his close associate Richard Kahn sent him emails with gossip and media articles about the actor's relationships and social life.
One of the emails referred to a Page Six article about Pitt's professional relationship with architect and MIT professor Neri Oxman, while other messages used gossipy language about the actor's love life after his split from Angelina Jolie.
The documents, part of a nearly three million-page archive made public after an extensive review by US authorities, also shed light on Epstein's ties to MIT, including financial donations that later sparked strong public backlash and controversy.
