'The Woman In Me', the autobiographical book of the pop star Britney Spears that is expected to be published soon, has been the 'headline' of the world media of showbiz and not only.
In a chapter of the book, another very difficult moment for Spears is shown, where her family and her father are at the center.
Spears has opened up about her traumatic childhood and the constant torture she endured at the hands of her alcoholic father, Jamie Spears.
The pop icon, 41, describes her father as "mean, apathetic and cold". This abuse extended into her 30s, as Jamie often insulted her about her appearance, often calling her "fat" and forcing her to work against her will.
Britney also recalled her father's erratic behavior fueled by alcohol, confessing that he drank excessively, causing her great fear.
"Dad drank until he couldn't think. He disappeared from home for several days. And when he was drunk, he got really bad," says an extract from the book according to 'The Sun'.
"The stress of not having enough money was compounded by the chaos caused by my father's extreme mood swings."
“I was especially afraid to get into the car with him because he would talk to himself while driving. I didn't even understand what he was saying. He seemed to be in his own world," she continued, among other things.
