Supermodel Cara Delevingne has spoken for the first time about her past drug use and relationship with alcohol. The 31-year-old, in an interview with the Sunday Times, revealed the first time she was drunk, where she says she was only 8 years old.
"I got drunk for the first time, at my aunt's wedding in 2001. I was eight years old, a little crazy age to get drunk," said the model and actress.
Afterwards, she admitted that she turned to substances, believing that drugs would help her through difficult times.
"I thought alcohol and drugs would help me cope. But they didn't, instead they made me sad and depressed. I feel like now, I have my power back. Now, nothing controls me," she noted.
As the model revealed, she has managed to stay clean from drugs and alcohol since 2022.
