For Mariah Carey, the song is "The Bingo of Life."
Billboard estimates that the singer earned $1.86 million from the song last year, while a 2016 study by The Economist found that Carey earns an average of $2.5 million per hit per year.
The song, released in 1994, could surpass $100 million in total revenue by 2023, according to an Associated Press report.
"All I Want for Christmas Is You" reached 1 billion streams on Spotify in December 2021 and has been No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the past four consecutive years. Carey has earned millions of dollars over the years thanks to her successful music career, touring and endorsements, and the singer has an estimated net worth of $350 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
"All I Want For Christmas Is You" set three Guinness World Records in 2019, including the title of most-streamed song on Spotify in 24 hours. Within a single day in December 2018, it was streamed more than 10.8 million times and broke the record again in 2022 with 21.3 million streamed streams, Index reports.
