
In an interview with Radio Times, the singer of Albanian origin and world fame, Dua Lipa, has said that she is ready to risk her reaction to political statements, as she recently described the military operations in Gaza as "Israeli genocide".
Last month, Dua reposted to her 88 million Instagram followers a graphic from the group Artists4Ceasefire, along with the hashtag #AllEyesOnRafah.
She also said she constantly checked herself before making a statement, but only did so if she thought it was for the best and worth the risk.
Lipa told the Radio Times: 'When I talk about things that are political, I check myself twice, triple. OK, it's about something that's much bigger than me and it's necessary – and that's the only reason.' This is my only consolation for doing so.'
