Diddy's trial began on Monday, May 12, with shocking revelations and evidence coming to light about the musician's past and violent behavior. Sean Combs faces serious charges of human trafficking, sexual abuse and participation in a criminal organization, as prosecutors allege that the 55-year-old rapper and businessman ran an entire criminal network around sexual exploitation and violence against women.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, prosecutors allege that Diddy hosted long-running parties called "Freak Offs," where women were allegedly forced to perform sex acts while under the influence of drugs. The prosecution also said that Combs recorded these scenes, while his associates worked methodically to cover his tracks.
His ex-partner and popular singer Cassie Ventura is among the main figures in the case. According to her, Diddy forced her to attend the parties in question and abused her both physically and psychologically. One of the most frightening incidents he described was when a woman was allegedly forced to urinate in her mouth. It has also been reported that the rapper hung another woman from a balcony, while a third reported that he stomped on her head.
The music producer's lawyer, Teny Geragos, acknowledged incidents of physical violence against his former partners but denied the human trafficking charges. She argued that her client's behavior was "eccentric" and attributed to "jealousy and substance abuse."
During the hearing, Officer Israel Florez, who was in charge of security at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016, described scenes of horror. He reported finding Cassie Ventura terrified and hiding in a corner while Sean Combs, wearing only a towel, was looking at her “with a devilish look.”
The second witness, 41-year-old escort Daniel Phillip, gave a detailed account of what happened at the party, claiming he was paid up to £4,500 to attend. He claimed he had sex with Cassie in front of Sean Combs, who was watching in a mask. He also mentioned an incident where the rapper threw a bottle of alcohol at her because she kept him waiting.
