
Catherine, Princess of Wales, has said she has completed her cancer treatment with chemotherapy and will gradually return to public life in the coming months.
Catherine, who revealed in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer, said in a statement that she was entering a "new phase of recovery" and would "undertake some more public engagements in the coming months when I can".
The princess, known as Cate, has made just two public appearances since her diagnosis, which came after she underwent major abdominal surgery just after Christmas.
"As the summer draws to a close, I can't tell you what a relief it is to have finally finished my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family. The fight against cancer is complex, scary and unpredictable. to everyone, especially those closest to you," said Kate Middleton, Princess of Wells.

“Most of all, this time has reminded William and I to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life that many of us often take for granted. Just to love and be loved," said Kate Middleton, Princess of Wells.
Kate said she is focused on fighting the cancer and is starting her new phase of recovery "with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life".
"Even though I have finished chemotherapy, my road to full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. However, I look forward to getting back to work and undertaking some more public engagements in the coming months when I can," she said.
