Famous actress Angelina Jolie has admitted that she lied to get the role in the film "Maria". Namely, for the leading role of Maria Callas in this film, Jolie has been nominated for a Golden Globe, and is also considered a favorite for an Oscar.
"I've never sung. Someone once told me I couldn't sing and that completely blocked me. I didn't tell anyone, but it's a part of me that I just repressed. When Larrain asked me if I could sing, I said no one can sing like Maria Callas, but I'll do my best."
She also admitted that at first she thought she would succeed in singing scenes, but everything changed when she started her first lessons with her music teacher.
