Prince Leka and Elia Zaharia confirmed their divorce after 7 years of marriage, thus demolishing the ideal they had raised in a good part of Albanians, that the perfect couple exists.
They civilly confirmed the much talked about divorce thus enjoying the respect of the Albanians for a separation without conflicts.
But on March 6, reports of police violence and then a video shot by Princ Leka in aggressive moments with Elia Zaharian revealed that the couple's divorce was not peaceful.
This video divided Albanians "in two". Although Elia Zaharia is clearly seen hitting Princ Leka, some give her the right as she accuses her ex-husband of violating her father, Gjergj Zaharian.
Later, in a reaction on social networks, actress Luli Bitri stated that Prince Leka betrayed Elia Zaharina. Prince Leka's new partner is Blerta Celibashi, Prince's personal photographer when he was married to Elia.
The former head of Public Relations at the Royal Palace has made a strong statement in the "Vizioni i Pasdite" studio.
"The Zaharia family escalated the situation due to property issues. The connection between the Prince and the girl is very strong", he says.
"Elia Zaharia has behaved hysterically with the Prince for many years. I am proud that the Prince has not succumbed to provocations and used physical violence against Mrs. Zaharia. He was prepared for this situation", says Teli, among other things.
The couple is still in divorce proceedings, therefore their every move is viewed with the eye of suspicion for favoritism in procedural matters.
A few months ago it was said that the divorce will not deprive Elia Zaharian of the property inheritance of the Zogu Family, as she will receive her share.
We remember that the couple got engaged in Paris in 2010 and Elia confessed during an interview that getting to know the prince was the main reason why she returned to Albania.
In 2016, Elia and Pirnc Leka got married in a ceremony that attracted the attention of the whole country and not only. 4 years later, the first and apparently only blessing for the couple, their daughter Geraldina, was born.
