In a new post, Madonna focuses on a great tragedy of our time, the death of children from starvation in the Gaza Strip, on the occasion of her son, Rocco's, birthday.
As she writes in the caption of her Instagram post: “Politics cannot bring change. Only conscience can. So I turn to a man of God. Today is my son, Rocco’s birthday. I think the best gift I can give him as a mother is to ask everyone to do their best to help save the innocent children caught in the Gaza fire zone. I’m not pointing fingers, I’m not blaming, I’m not taking sides. Everyone is suffering. And the mothers of the hostages. I also pray for their release. I’m trying to do my best so that these children don’t starve.”
She says;
"Holy Father,
"Please go to Gaza and enlighten the children before it is too late. As a mother, it is unbearable for me to see them being tortured. The children of the world belong to everyone. And you are the only one who no one can deny entry to. The humanitarian gates must be opened wide to save these innocent children. There is no more time. Please say you will go. With love, Madonna."
