Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson are reportedly facing problems in their relationship.
Insiders recently revealed that Neeson, who made headlines with his red carpet appearances with Anderson while promoting the remake of their film "The Naked Gun," is having a hard time accepting the actress's history with Julian Assange.
According to sources, Neeson is jealous of Julian. “Liam cares deeply for Pamela, but the shadow of her time with Julian Assange still lingers.”
They added to RadarOnline: "He's a proud man and some of the old titles make it difficult for him to move forward. There's a sense that he's struggling to overcome that."
This comes after a controversial history between Assange and Anderson. The actress has been a frequent visitor to the Ecuadorian Embassy and later in prison, where she supported his freedom and well-being, calling him "the most innocent man in the world."
Now, Assange is free and back in Australia with his wife. The source claims that, although Anderson “insists that her visits to Julian were about friendship and activism,” Neeson “wonders how the public sees this — and it weighs on him.”
"Pamela's encounters with Julian were always controversial," the source noted. "Even if they were just hugs and comfort, people would interpret them as something more. Liam knows that, and it bothers him."
The source stated of Liam Neeson that "He's old-fashioned in a lot of ways. He admires Pamela, but wonders if her past relationships will always haunt them. That's hard for a man who prefers privacy."
