She was born a year after a tragedy that left irreparable wounds in her family. Her first brother, who was born with the sign of the Dragon, lost his life in a serious accident. The pain was so deep that her mother refused to talk about it. But that brother, felt as a sign from God, appeared in everyone's dreams and named her: Danela.
At the age of 1, she became the heir to a pain that did not belong to her. At the age of 10, she experienced another great loss – her mother, who died of cancer at the age of 42. “She taught us to live without her, even though we were never ready,” Danela recounts.
But the drama doesn't end there. At just 14 years old, she was arranged to marry by her father. "I kept telling him the whole way where he was taking me, I'm a child," she recalls. The boy was 32 years old. Shy but silent, she said "yes." She stayed at his house for a while, until she got up early one morning, took the bus and left. Then, another love, an 8-year cohabitation and several attempts to end her life.
From Albania, to Naples, where she worked in agriculture, and then to Malta, where within three months she learned English and began a new journey in the world of modeling. A life built on pain, but also on an unusual strength not to give up.
