Ben Blushi spoke on Arbana Osmani's "Good Morning Stars" show about his career in television and his relationships with the most famous Albanian journalists, with whom he has worked in the media.
Blushi, who has held the position of General Director of Top Channel, recounted the behind-the-scenes, debates and difficult decisions of his time at the helm of the television station.
Asked which of the political show hosts he would choose to work with if he were to run a television station again, Blushi stopped at the well-known duo: " Grida Duma or Blendi Fevziu? I have to say Fevziu. I have a long history with him, 30-40 years of friendship, despite the fact that I see him less and less. Definitely Fevziu ."
Arbana's next question focused on another well-known media duo, Ylli Rakipi and Eni Vasili. Blushi revealed that he had a falling out with Rakipi, while he had a successful collaboration with Eni. " I broke up with Ylli, even though we are talking today. I hired Eni at Top Channel and she worked with me for 3-4 years. She was brilliant. I hope she will be a good director of RTSH. She doesn't have much administrative experience, but she has life experience ."
Next, Blushi commented on his relationship with Alban Dudushi and Rudina Xhunga. He admitted that he broke up with Dudushi on bad terms after he closed the Top Show show. " I didn't break up with Dudushi on good terms. I closed the show because, in my opinion, it wasn't working anymore. He got bored with me. I don't know where he is now, I don't see him anymore ."
As for Rudina Xhunga, Blushi said he meets her from time to time, but he doesn't think either she or Dudushi would prefer to work with her. "There are a lot of people who don't want to work with me. They're afraid of the myth you've spread, that I'm too wild. But, I'm not like that."
Commenting on the figures with whom he has collaborated, Blushi said that Jonida Shehu was his choice both at Top Channel and at Euronews Albania. " I have worked with Jonida twice. I took her on at Top after she was fired, then at Euronews. They fired her as soon as I left. So it would be better with her, even the third time ."
