Kylie Jenner surprised fans with her musical debut on Terror Jr's "Fourth Strike," where she brings her rap-style vocals. Following the song's release, Jenner, 28, said in a Q&A on her YouTube channel that she's ready to pursue a career in music, a dream she's had since childhood.
“This has been my dream since I was born, I always wanted to be a pop star,” she said. “But I never had the confidence.” She added that as she approaches her 30s, she doesn’t want to regret the things she hasn’t tried: “I always wanted to try it, to see if I could. Even though I’m not like Adele,” she said with humor.
Jenner revealed that she was very emotional during the first recording session and drank three vodka sodas to calm herself down. She spent a total of two sessions in the studio, each lasting five to six hours.
In the song “Fourth Strike,” Kylie performs the lines: “One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right. Do it on purpose just to see how it ends.”
Asked if she would continue with music, she said: "I hope so. I would love to. Why not? Let's make an album."
The song "Fourth Strike" is a follow-up to the song "3 Strikes" from 2016, where Jenner appeared as "King Kylie" in the promotional video for her lip gloss line.
