The eldest son of the Crown Princess of Norway, Marius Borg Høiby, 28, is officially charged with 32 criminal offenses, including four serious charges of rape.
Norwegian prosecutors say there are also allegations of sexual abuse against two of his former partners.
He is accused of violating privacy and illegally recording several women without their knowledge or consent.
Høiby, who does not hold a royal title and has no official duties within the royal family, is the son of Princess Mette-Marit before she married Crown Prince Haakon, the heir to the Norwegian throne.
The prosecutor in the case announced that the rapes occurred between 2018 and 2024.
Authorities confirm that he was arrested three times during 2024, in August, September and November, and has been under investigation since August on initial suspicions of a physical assault.
According to his lawyer, the young man categorically denied the allegations of rape and domestic violence, however he plans to plead guilty to some lesser charges.
