The father of world-famous singer Dua Lipa, Dukagjin Lipa - also known as the leader of the legendary group "ODA", has commented for the first time on the much-discussed photo of his daughter, where she is seen smoking.
In an interview for the show "Pushime On Top", Dugi was asked if Dua's cigarette consumption is something that bothers him or if he sees it as part of her artistic life.
"I don't smoke before a concert. I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke. When we're on tour, I don't drink. When I'm on vacation, I drink," he said.
Dukagjini further added that it is unfair to prejudge an artist for such personal choices, especially when she is an adult and independent.
"I don't believe that in the 21st century it matters whether you are Albanian or American. If your daughter is 29-30 years old, what right do you have to tell her 'drink' or 'don't drink,'" he said.
His reaction came after several comments on social media, where various fans expressed surprise or disappointment due to photos of Dua being seen with a cigarette, especially during breaks in the middle of a busy world tour.
