UEFA has decided to exclude Osasuna from the next edition of the Conference League, for which it had secured a place because it was ranked seventh in La Liga. However, UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee considers that she is unable to participate in the tournament in breach of Article 4.1g:
"Not being involved directly and/or indirectly, since the entry into force of Article 50(3). ) of the UEFA Statute, ie on 27 April 2007 in any activity that aims to organize or influence the outcome of a match." In fact, it was part of the 2013 match-fixing that was investigated.
Osasuna has the right to appeal and if the decision is upheld, it will be Athletic Bilbao, ranked eighth in La Liga, who will take part in the play-offs to enter the group stage of the Conference League.

The report is based on the decision of the Spanish Supreme Court on the fixing of two matches in which the board of directors of Osasuna was involved in 2014. The club does not share UEFA's criteria, it will complain to the Appeals Commission and announces that it will fight legally, until the last consequences defending their rights.
In the letter posted on Osasuna's official website, the entity states that "the message transmitted by UEFA is undoubtedly counter-productive for football and for those entities that, given the risk of sanctioning by the highest body of European football, now choose not to attack the corruption in the football world head on. Osasuna understands that this cannot and should not be the objective pursued by UEFA.

The sentence was given in January of this year.
