Ajax sinks to the bottom, Galatasaray suffers sensational defeat at home; Mourinho survives

The first two matches for today in the Champions League have ended. In Amsterdam, Ajax was defeated with a clean score of 0-2 by Benfica. Samuel Dahl scored for the Portuguese in the 6th minute with a powerful shot inside the area, after an action started from a corner kick. Leandro Barreiro sealed the 0-2 victory with his goal in the 90th minute.

This is the first victory this season for the Portuguese team led by Jose Mourinho, while Ajax sinks to the bottom with 0 points in five matches.

The big surprise came from Istanbul, where Galatasaray were defeated 0-1 by Belgian champions Union Saint-Gilles. The only goal was scored by Promis David in the second half. Galatasaray are currently ranked 9th with nine points, while Union Saint-Gilles are in 18th with 6 points.
