Bayern Munich, who focused heavily on attacking reinforcements during the summer transfer window, are said to have contacted Brazilian winger Antony before he moved from Manchester United to Real Betis.
The Bavarian club offered the 25-year-old double his current salary, but Antony decided to honor his commitment with Betis, which he confirmed to El Partidazo de COPE.
"I spoke to Bayern Munich the day before I signed with Betis. I don't know if the offer was 7 million euros [net], I didn't discuss that," Antony said.
"But when I spoke to them, I said that I had given my word to Betis and that everything was 95% done, and I will keep my word," he added.
"Out of respect, love and knowing that I am happy here. I make this decision with all due respect for Bayern Munich, one of the three best clubs in the world. I don't know what will happen in the future," the Brazilian concluded.
