New offer from Saudi Arabia to the Atletico Madrid team. After being interested in Saul Niguez a few weeks ago, the Arab country now wants to try to sign Atletico coach, Argentinian Diego Pablo Simeone.
As revealed by "Marca", Al Hilal has started trying to sign "El Cholon", presenting him with a staggering offer. The Atletico coach, who begins pre-season with the 'red and white' team today, has yet to renew with the Spanish club and his current contract expires in June 2024.
Undoubtedly, in Arabia, the arrival of Simeone would be considered as a real star and could be compared to those of Cristiano Ronaldo or Karim Benzema. The Saudi government is the one managing the employment of world stars and, obviously, the economic offers far exceed those that can be given in European football.
Despite the staggering offer, everything seems to indicate that Simeone will continue at least until 2024 at Atletico Madrid. Although the coach and CEO of the club, Miguel Angel Jil, have not yet met to extend the contract, this approach could happen in the coming months, as the intention of the Madrid club is for Simeone to continue in his position for another season in the future.
