Etrit Berisha has surprised many with the choice he made, returning to the ranks of Haken in Swedish football. But the Albanian national team goalkeeper explained to "SportItalia" that he made this decision so as not to waste a full year away from the playing field.
" When I came to Lazio, I was happy like a child. I found a team full of history in Italy and Europe that I had followed since I started watching football, and then many strong players and a great fan base .
Which goalkeeper do I like in Serie A? I would say De Gea, because in Manchester he was never exceptional. While in Italy he transformed brilliantly. Then another one that I like is Karneseki, he is having a great season.
"There were several opportunities to return to Italy, but for various reasons they did not end successfully. Then, in order not to waste a whole year, I decided to start over in Sweden in these remaining months. In the summer we will reevaluate everything, I hope to follow De Gea's path ," the Albanian goalkeeper said with a laugh,
He then stopped at a comment about an Albanian national team player he knows very well, Kristjan Asllani.
" He is a technically very strong player, when we play for Albania I always pass the ball to him, as I feel safe with him, he doesn't hide and always looks for it. He is playing in one of the strongest teams in Europe, so he has to grow every day. He has everything it takes to become a great player ," said Berisha.
