The Albanian University Sports Federation has come out in support of the Albanian Football Federation, which decided not to participate in the 31st General Assembly of the KOKSH, which will take place on April 23, 2025. The FSHSU announcement was recently made public on the official website.

The Albanian University Sports Federation (FSHSU), as a full member of the Albanian National Olympic Committee (KOKSH), expresses full support for the position of the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) not to participate in the 31st General Assembly of KOKSH, which will take place on April 23, 2025.
This support comes in response to an unfair decision by the NAC, which refused to include in the agenda an official and legitimate request by the Albanian Football Association (AFC) to address the implementation of the final decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Instead, a pre-announced monologue by the dismissed NAC President has been placed on the agenda.
The CAS decision declared the previous processes and decision-making of the NAC invalid, listing clear violations of members' rights and statutory procedures.
Refusal to listen to an equal member and to discuss issues of fundamental institutional importance constitutes a clear violation of democratic principles and the Olympic spirit. This action is contrary not only to the Olympic Charter, but also to the European Sports Charter and every standard of good governance in sports organizations.
When the largest sports federation in the country is not allowed to express its voice in a forum that should be the embodiment of democracy and equality, then all of us, as members of this organization, are exposed to the same injustice.
If the AFF cannot speak, who else can guarantee freedom of expression and the right to representation?
The FSHSU shares the FSH's concern about the non-transparent and exclusionary leadership of the NAC, which is harming the normal functioning of the organization and undermining trust among members. We believe that every member should have the equal right to express, propose and actively participate in decision-making.
In this spirit, the FSHSU announces that it will not participate in the 31st General Assembly of the NAC, as a protest and solidarity against a distorted and unfair process.
We will continue to strongly support legality, transparency, checks and balances, as well as the principle of equal representation – as cornerstones for a fair, open and democratic sports system.
