
After a 2-2 draw against Union Berlin, which ended their 16-game winning streak, Bayern Munich returned to winning ways. The Bavarians defeated Freiburg 6-2 in the 11th round of the Bundesliga, played at the Allianz Arena.
The Bavarians were taken by surprise by Freiburg in the opening minutes, where the visitors took a double advantage, finding Kompany's defense unprepared on two occasions. Juito Suzuki scored first for Freiburg in the 12th minute, after the ball came from a corner kick. Johan Manzambi doubled the score in the 17th minute, scoring with a header after a cross from a corner kick. Talented Lennart Karl narrowed the score for the Bavarians in the 22nd minute, after an assist from Michael Oliseh. In the extra minutes, Lennart Karl assisted, Michael Oliseh scored.
The second half saw the Bavarians take the lead. Dayot Upamecano put Bayern ahead in the 54th minute, after scoring from a corner kick and the Frenchman was forgotten by the opposing defenders inside the area. The usual Harry Kane was also absent, the Englishman scoring the fourth goal for the Bavarians in the 59th minute.
Nicholas Jackson scored the fifth goal for the Bavarians in the 77th minute, after a fantastic assist from Oliseh. The Frenchman sealed the 6-2 victory with his goal in the 84th minute, being fantastic today, with two goals and 3 assists, undoubtedly the most appreciated player of the match. High marks also for the talent Lennart Karl. After this victory, Bayern starts the escape and currently leads with 31 points, 8 more than the closest follower, Leverkusen. The “Aspirin” won 1-2 away against Wolfsburg, with goals from Hofman in the 9th minute, Tapsoba in the 25th minute and Tilman in the 33rd minute. Vavro scored the only goal for the locals in the second half.
Dortmund made a bluff today, drawing 3-3 at Signal Iduna Park against Stuttgart. Emre Can scored for the Yellow and Blacks from the penalty spot after a foul in the area on Niko Schloterbeck. Maximilian Beyer doubled the lead in the 40th minute. The second half was truly fantastic, with Stuttgart initially levelling the score at 2-2 with two goals from Deniz Undav. Karim Adejemi scored the third goal for the Yellow and Blacks in the 89th minute and it looked like the winning goal, but it wasn't. Deniz Undav completed his hat-trick by levelling the score at 3-3 in extra time. Dortmund are third with 22 points, the same as Stuttgart, but the latter are fifth due to goal difference.
