FC Balkani has written a new page in the history of the club, winning the third title in a row in the Super League of Kosovo. This is an extraordinary achievement that places this team at a high level of Kosovar football. Thus, Balkan equals a record held until now by Besa e Peja, which had dominated the elite of our football in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Coach Ilir Daja has led the Portuguese to the third triumph in a row.
The title was secured in a very interesting match against the direct rival, Llapit, which took place at the "Zahir Pajaziti" stadium in Podujevë. The penultimate game of this edition was decisive, and it was Bernard Karrica who put an end to the champion's dilemma with the goal scored in the 74th minute. This goal gave Suharekas players and fans the opportunity to start the well-deserved celebration, as the official handover ceremony of the trophy will be organized by the Football Federation of Kosovo next weekend, when Balkan will play the last game of the season in front of their fans against Pristina.
In the other matches, Gjilan scored a victory in the duel with Drita, 2:1, Feronikeli defeated Dukagjini 3:2, while Prishtina and Malisheva achieved convincing victories in the confrontations against Fushë Kosova (5:0) and Lirisa (7:4).
