The Russian basketball player ends up in the hospital with head injuries, the European champion fights in the center of Moscow with the owner of the laundry

Nikita Shabalkin, the famous Russian basketball player and European champion, was seriously injured in the incident that happened on Monday in Podmoskovlje.

According to some Russian media, Shabalkin suffered serious head injuries and was admitted to a local hospital.

As "Baza" reports, Shabalkin had a fight with the owner of the laundry, 37-year-old Spartak Babajan, whom he knows well.

Shabalkin, who became the European champion with Russia in 2007, was taken to the hospital with a bleeding head and Babayan went to the police to file a complaint against the basketball player.

At the moment, the media do not report what caused the fight. Shabalkin played until 2013 and wore the shirt of almost all the strongest Russian clubs, CSKA Moscow, Khimki, Dynamo Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow from Kuban and Uniks from Kazan.
