Sweden has made a spectacular start to its adventure in Group F of the 2026 World Cup, defeating Tunisia 5-1.

The Scandinavians immediately took control of the match thanks to Yasin Ayari, who scored a superb goal from distance in the 6th minute. The Brighton midfielder did not celebrate the goal out of respect for Tunisia, his father's homeland and the national team he could have represented.

Just before the break, Alexander Isak doubled the lead. After a combination with Viktor Gyökeres, the Swedish striker traveled many meters with the ball and finished accurately to make it 2-0 in the 40th minute.

Tunisia temporarily returned to the game thanks to Omar Rekik, who scored with a header in the 43rd minute, narrowing the gap to 2-1 before the end of the first half.

However, Sweden did not allow for surprises. In the 59th minute, it was Viktor Gyökeres' turn to find the net, after an assist from Isak, restoring the two-goal lead.

In the 84th minute, substitute Mattias Svanberg scored just 18 seconds after coming on. The goal was initially ruled out for offside, but after a lengthy VAR review it was confirmed as legal.

In the final seconds of the match, Ayari sealed his fantastic performance with another spectacular goal from distance, giving the Swedes a profound victory.
