City and Real Madrid face off at the Etihad on Tuesday in the Champions League play-offs. In a press conference, City manager Pep Guardiola said it was impossible to control Vinicius, Mbappe, Rodrygo and Bellingham, but he said they would try to reduce their involvement in the game.
The Manchester City coach is optimistic about his team's success, adding that the duel has become a European classic, with the two teams facing off in the Champions League knockout stage for the fourth time in a row.
" We haven't done that well, we deserve where we are now. The draw is the draw, we accept the challenge. Over the last few years we have had a great rivalry with Real Madrid, but in terms of history we can't compare to be honest.
They (Real Madrid) are at the top of La Liga and are fighting against Atletico and Barcelona. We have to play two good games to beat them. Of course, we can play well but we are not as consistent as we were before.
I can't deny that I have faith in the players who have been so good for a decade. Their attacking players are exceptional. They have the ability for short passes, long passes so we have to play our game.
When you finish 22nd out of 24 teams, you can't ask for any favors. We didn't get enough points to even be close to the top eight. We got what we deserved, our team has something special. Hopefully we can do it tomorrow.

"It is impossible to control Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham for 90 or 180 minutes. All four are exceptional, we know that. We have to reduce their involvement in the actions ," said Pep Guardiola.
