Partizan was eliminated from the Conference League qualifiers in the first round. The capital team was defeated at “Air Albania” with a score of 0-1 by the Estonian team Kalju, in a challenge that was only resolved in extra time, after a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Estonia.
During the regular time, the “Red Bulls” dominated and had several good chances to score. The golden opportunity came in the 80th minute, when Partizan won a penalty. But striker Skuka missed the penalty, being stopped by the opposing goalkeeper and missing the chance to unblock the match.
In extra time, despite repeated attempts to take the lead, it was Kalju who struck with precision. In a lightning-fast counterattack in the 104th minute, Ivanov scored the decisive goal that eliminated Partizan from Europe and gave the Estonians a surprise qualification.
Thus, Partizan ends its European adventure very early, in another summer that adds to the disappointments for the red fans. Now, the team must recover morale and focus on preparations for the new championship season, where the demands and pressure will be even higher.
