Elseid Hysaj is on the way to leave Lazio. This summer, the club is expected to make some changes in the team, and one of the names that are affected is the right defender of the Albanian national team, who has been part of the black and white since 2021.
Hysaj first arrived in Italy in 2009, aged 15, joining Empoli's youth academy. He then worked his way up to the first team playing under Mauricio Sarri. In 2015, he followed the coach to Napoli and after his departure, worked with Carlo Ancelotti and Gennaro Gattuso. In 2021, Hysaj signed a four-year contract with Lazio, to rejoin Mauricio Sarri.
But with the resignation of the former Chelsea and Juventus coach from the bench last month, Hysaj may have the same fate. According to the Italian journalist Nikolo Shkira, Hysaj will leave this summer, without indicating any possible destination. This season, the 30-year-old has appeared mostly on the left side of the defense. Now, with the arrival of Igor Tudor on the bench, Lazio's defense is formed by three players and Hysaj is considered unsuitable for this tactical system. This season, the red and black player has played 23 matches between the championship, the Cup and the Champions League, while when the Croatian Tudor sat on the bench, he stayed on the bench.
