Chelsea are reportedly ready to welcome Armando Broja back to the London club for the rest of the season, ending his loan spell at Everton. But to do so, Everton must agree to loan another player out for the remainder of the season in place of the Albanian striker.
Everton were keen to bring Brog back, as he will not be available until the final weeks of the season due to a right ankle injury. But Chelsea have set a condition for an early return, making it clear they want some kind of benefit to end the loan early.
The discussion about Broja's wages has taken a back seat, as English media report that Chelsea are ready to make the sacrifice by bringing back the injured player, but only if Everton lends another player to the London Blues for the rest of the season. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Karnei Chukwuemeka are two players who are not finding minutes with Maresca and Chelsea want to send them somewhere to be activated so as not to reduce their value, as they think they can be sold in the summer.
Therefore, if Everton agrees to take one of these players on loan until the end of the season, guaranteeing him some minutes, then Chelsea will take over the return of Broja to the Londoners, to continue his rehabilitation with the team that owns the Albanian striker's card. The parties are still in talks to reach this agreement.
