"EURO 2024" ended with the triumph of Spain, lowering the standard of a tournament full of emotions that also reserved surprises in terms of results and the market.

One of the surprises of course was coach Silvinho's Albania, who also managed to scare Spalletti's Italy in the first match, scoring a record goal with Nedim Bajram after only 23 seconds of play.

Albania failed to qualify for the round of 16, but came out of EURO 2024 with their heads held high, having fought with all their heart against Spain and taking a precious point against Croatia after that spectacular 2-2 draw.

In the framework of the upcoming matches of the League of Nations and the qualifiers for the World Cup 2026, the President of the Albanian Federation Armand Duka spoke exclusively for the Turkish channel "TRT", also making a summary of the European Championship and some interesting figures to know the level of football.

- What kind of European was this President in your opinion?

– Wonderful, in all aspects, organizational, sports, for the fans, etc. In my opinion, it was the best European Championship ever, even better than the World Cup. So many fans, it was a spectacle.

- "EURO 2024" has left its mark on several national teams...

- There are no longer visible differences between the national teams. Every fan had the hope of seeing their team go on and win the trophy. The fans who certainly left their mark during this tournament were our Turks and Albanians for the created choreographies and great support.

- Montela did well, but Turkey was eliminated. How have you seen Turkey but also the new talents of this tournament such as Arda Gyler who plays for Real Madrid and Lamin Jamal of Barcelona?

- Turkey has made a very beautiful European Championship. Played better than the Netherlands, but paid for the lack of European experience. Sorry for the own goal against Portugal. Fans can expect great things for the future as well as Arda Gyler who is a pure talent and we will be hearing a lot of talk about him. As for Jamal, the same discussion applies. Unlike Gyler, he reached the final, but for me there is no difference in characteristics.

Young talents have always made history, look at Messi. Jamal was lucky enough to make it to the finals. We also have a phenomenon who has played very well and we will hear about him in the near future, Kristjan Asllani.
