England has started its journey in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a 2-0 victory over Albania and with the... wrong jersey.
The "Three Lions" have appeared on the field of play with the new "Nike" model for this edition, but with a noticeable difference compared to the model that was presented before the start of the qualifiers.
The difference was that the number the players wore on the front was not in the center, but on the right side, below the Nike logo. Many thought there was a change in the design of the jersey, as all the players used this model during the match against the Rossoneri.
But the truth was revealed after the match by the Three Lions' kit manager, Pat Frost. He took to social media to say that it was simply a mistake on his part.
" I printed the first jersey and put the number in the wrong place, so then I had to do them all in the same place. From Monday, the numbers back in the usual place ," he wrote on social media, making it clear that it was his mistake that had brought about this unexpected design.
