Inter have officially renewed the contract with coach Cristian Kivu, entrusting him with the leadership of the team until June 2028. The decision comes after a successful season, where the Romanian coach managed to return the neroli to the top of Italian football and also secure the triumph in the Coppa Italia, completing a double of trophies that had been missing since the Jose Mourinho era.
Negotiations between the parties had been underway for weeks, while the new agreement was made official this Thursday through a club statement.
" Inter is pleased to announce the renewal of the contract of coach Christian Kivu. Thanks to the new agreement, the coach will be in charge of the Nerazzurri until 2028 ," the club said in a statement.
In the official statement, Inter also praised the coach's contribution during his time on the black and blue bench.
" On June 9, 2025, Kivu became the new coach of Inter. From that moment on, he led Inter from the bench in 58 matches, during an intense and demanding season, made unforgettable as the months passed ," the club's statement said.
With the contract renewal, Inter's leaders confirm their full confidence in the project of Kristian Kivu, who is expected to continue to lead the team in its objectives for the coming seasons.
