Formula 1/ Vershtapen writes history in Italy, Ferrari returns to the podium

Max Verstappen knows no rivals and to make this even clearer, today he wrote history on the Monza track in Italy, which is considered the "home" of Ferrari. The Dutch driver became the first ever to win 10 races in a row in a championship, establishing complete command in a Red Bull car. 

Vershtapen started behind the wings of the Ferrari rider Sainz, but waited for the right moment and on the 15th lap overtook him. After that, there was no history as the Dutchman broke away and took a comfortable win, leaving the battle behind him for the rest of the podium places. 

Sainz held on as long as he could, but then gave way to the other Red Bull car of Perez, who took second place.

The Spaniard can be comforted by the fact that he is again behind Leclerc, with whom he had a spectacular duel in the last lap. 

Fifth and sixth place went to the Mercedes cars of Russell and Hamilton, while Albon, Norris, Alonso and Botas closed the points area.
