Ernest Muçi has been described as one of the most important hits in the market that the Besiktas club has made in recent times, as many see the footballer of the Albanian National Team as a player with a guaranteed future. But in fact, Muçi could have joined another big Turkish club in the summer.
The Turkish media have learned that during the last year, it was the Gallatasaraj club that had their eyes on the Albanian footballer to strengthen their ranks. The vice-president of Gallatasaraj, Erden Timur, is reported to have been in negotiations with the Poles during the past year to transfer the Albanian footballer. Gallatasaraj's offer reached up to 15 million euros, but Legia Varshava claimed to earn 18 million euros from his sale.
In the end, the negotiations were closed without a handshake and Muçi started the season as part of Legia. But in January, Besiktas knocked on the doors of the Polish club, who convinced the managers to sell the footballer for 10 million euros plus 10% of his future transfer. Thus, Muçi moved to Turkey and will now be a rival of Gallatasaraj, who was first interested in him.
