The term "Leo Messi's grandmother" has taken on all the meaning after a story bordering on the unbelievable that is likely with one of the hostages of Hamas.
An image of an elderly woman with a Kalashnikov in her hands and a Hamas fighter has gone viral. Everyone thought she was from Israel, but she was actually Argentinian. Her name is Ester Kunio and she narrated her story stating that mentioning the name of the Argentine star saved her life. Kunio, 90 years old, spoke to "Fuente Latina" about the famous photo and asked Leo Mesi for help to save the two grandchildren who are still hostages.
" I told him that I did not understand Arabic, and I speak Hebrew poorly. I speak Argentinian Spanish, so he asked what Argentina is. I said do you watch football? He said he liked it and I told him I'm from Mesi country. He was surprised and told me that he loves Messi. He put his arm on my shoulder, gave me the gun, made me make the peace sign. Now I hope that if Messi looks at this and sees that I was saved because of him, I would ask him to help my grandchildren who are still kidnapped ," she said.
