Historically, two Albanian referees in the Women's Championship; Rusta and Kapxhiu are expected to judge Benfica-Barcelona

For the first time in the history of Albanian refereeing for women, two Albanians will direct a Champions League match.

It is one of the most popular in the country. Emanuela Rusta has been directing women's football matches, and even men's football in Albania, while together with one of her colleagues they will set a record.

Rusta and Edjena Kapxhiu will become the first Albanian referees to administer justice in a Women's Championship challenge, the Albanian Football Federation announces.

There is talk of a challenge where the reigning European champion, Barcelona, ​​will play. Emanuela Rusta will be the main referee in the challenge that the Catalan girls will play in Portugal against Benfica. Kapxhiu will be by her side in the role of assistant or side judge.

The Benfica-Barcelona challenge is played on January 31, starting at 21:00 and applies to Group A. Both teams have qualified, while Barça has also secured first place.
