The Albanian men's mini-football national team has written history, moving to the direct elimination stage in the World Cup that is taking place in Essen, Germany. A 0-0 draw against Colombia saw Irtan Sejko's men progress, where they will face Ukraine on June 8 at 20:35.
The Reds finished Group F in third place after two draws and one loss. With the success and achievement "in the pocket", Albania will try to pass the Ukrainians to continue the race and write another page in the history of mini-football.
At this stage of the World Cup finals, the Reds and Blacks have so far played 3 matches, where in the first one against Portugal it was one of the most exciting matches, where despite conceding a goal 4 minutes from the end, the atmosphere in the sports complex, where the match was taking place, was filled with hundreds of red and black fans, who raised another drone over the playing field, this time with the Albanian flag to encourage the boys.
In the second match against Moldova, one of the main contenders of this World Cup, the Reds and Blacks led the match for a few minutes, thanks to the goal of Juliano Rec, but in the end the match was tied.
With this point obtained and with that of the last match against Colombia 0-0, Albania has the chance to participate in the elimination phase directly, where on Thursday at 20:35, it will face Ukraine, which in the phase of groups has managed to get 3 victories and 9 full points.
The next day in Germany is a national holiday and as a result, even more Albanian fans are expected to be present in the arena where the match will be played.
