The Sevilla club has reacted directly after the latest news on the "Negreira" case and especially the investigation that started thanks to the accusations against Barcelona. A press release has been made clear in the evening, just tonight when the two teams play.
"Sevija FC, following the latest news and developments in the Negreira case and the new allegation of alleged bribes for Barcelona and some of its former executives, wishes to communicate, out of respect for the competition and our fans, that:
-Shows the total outrage and inconsistency of the practices carried out by the former Barcelona executives accused of the "Negreira" case, practices that are supposed to constitute a crime for the Investigative Court number 1 of Barcelona, according to the order published in the media.
-Rejects the behavior of the Barca club during the periods in which these crimes are supposed to have been committed.
- For this reason, Sevilla has suspended the protocol acts corresponding to the La Liga match this Friday, September 29, between the club of Barça and Sevilla, and announces the absence of representatives in the stands of the Montjuic stadium.
-Sevija wishes to show the deepest respect to the members and subscribers of Barcelona, as well as to the current employees and managers who work every day in Barcelona and who are indirectly involved in this cause.
-We show respect for Spanish justice, the presumption of innocence and for the decisions that can be taken in any sense in the relevant courts, as well as in the relevant sanctioning bodies.
- We hope that for the benefit of the race, all responsibilities in the "Negreira" case will be resolved in accordance with the judge's final considerations.
- Believes that events such as those that are supposed to have happened will not be repeated and that the relevant federal bodies will ensure from now on the purity of all competitions, in which Sevilla was also in the investigated periods against Barcelona."
