Jurgen Çelhaka was transferred to Legia Warsaw from Tirana in the summer of 2021 for the amount of 250 thousand euros. A difficult first two seasons on the bench, and even a relegation to the Under-21 team, made it look like this transfer would be a failure.
But both the Polish club and the Albanian midfielder had a clear plan for each other. They had the most concrete example in front of their eyes: Ernest Muçi, who also started in the middle of the bench and then turned into the idol of the fans.
Headstrong, as he was in Tirana, Çelhaka continued to work in training and is rewarding the club's trust this season. A total of 25 games for him between the championship and the Conference League, gaining more and more quotas in the starting line-up of Legia, 15 times he started from the first minute.
The growing performances make not only the player and Legia happy, but also the technical staff of the Albanian National Team who can see a potential replacement for Klaus Gjasula in the National Team. Çelhaka has been the captain of the U-21 team, while he has a total of 19 matches with the Reds and Blacks.
