Igli Tare 'confessed' to Grida Duma, where he also spoke about part of his life in Germany, as he revealed that he worked as a gardener for a 6-month period.
Tare said that for the first 2-3 weeks of work, she was ashamed and covered herself up so that people wouldn't see her.
"How did he end up going from a footballer to a gardener?", was the stereotype that Tare feared. He further said that after 2-3 weeks he lived with pride because he was not doing anything wrong and that he was trying to earn money to help his family.
"I worked as a gardener. At first I was very shy. The first two weeks in Germany I thought who would recognize me, I covered myself, I only left my eyes open because I thought that if someone looked at me they would say 'this is how he ended up from a footballer to a gardener'. We cleaned with my friends from the staff, the work group, we cleaned the parks, the flowers, the trees, but after 2-3 weeks I lived with pride, because I was not doing anything wrong except the fact that I was surviving and having an economic opportunity to help my family.
"This is the only (job) I've done, I worked for 6 months, then I left and had the opportunity to try out for a big team in Germany at the time," said Igli Tare.
He has also recounted details from his family life.
Grida Duma: When did you decide to become a parent?
Igli Tare: I decided when I first found my wife. We lived together for three years, then I moved to Italy. We decided then to have a child. In 2003, our eldest son, Etienne, was born.
A very beautiful experience, a little late, but better late than never. I was 30 when I became a parent. I say 'late' because when I experienced the feeling, I think I could have experienced it earlier.
