Silvinjo has done an extraordinary job with the Albanian National Team, which he managed to qualify for the European Championship after a fantastic qualifying campaign.
Under the guidance of the Brazilian coach, the Reds and Blacks managed to finish in first place in the group, leaving behind national teams such as the Czech Republic and Poland, while securing the second historic European participation, after the one in 2016.
And this fantastic work of the former Barcelona and Manchester City footballer has not been left unnoticed by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
The IFFHS has published the list of the 20 best coaches of 2023 currently, where the former Brazilian representative occupies a very satisfactory place.
More precisely, Silvinho finds himself in fifth place in this prestigious list, leaving behind big names, including the world champion with Argentina, Lionel Scaloni.
Before the Brazilian coach, there are only Luis de la Fuente of Spain, Steve Clark of Scotland, Didier Deschamps of France and Gareth Southgate of England.

The best of the year in each category will be chosen by the latter at the end of January, as usual, while the jury consists of IFFHS members, sports journalists and football experts from over 100 countries around the world.
