Although there is not much time left before the start of the championship for the season 2023-2024 in Superiore, there are still dilemmas on the issue of the formula, which was changed two weeks ago by a decision of the Executive Committee of the AFL, after two meetings took place in the premises of the Federation, with the sports directors and club presidents.
The new formula, which adds a "Final 4" stage, after 36 weeks of regular championships, will determine the title of champion in Albania, where the first four teams will face each other in a single game and not round-trip. All will be played in "Air Albania", while after 36 weeks the points will be
zero for the first four teams and whoever collects the most points in these three games is declared the champion.
For the sake of truth, the part of zeroing the points has brought dissatisfaction to two clubs, who have expressed themselves publicly in "Panorama Sport". Tirana and Partizani are against this format, while on the other hand there is talk of another change. This hypothesis is strengthened more by the part of the draw, where Superiore's clubs have not yet been familiar with the calendar of matches for the 2023-2024 season, which is officially scheduled to start on August 19. So everything remains open.
