The 2026 World Cup qualifiers bring back international Juxhin Xhaja to the field, who a week ago refereed the Basel-Steaua Bucharest match in the Europa League, which ended with a 3-1 result.
Xhaja has been entrusted with the Group I match, Liechtenstein-Wales, which will take place on Saturday in Vaduz at 18:00. Xhaja will be assisted by referees Arbër Zalla and Rejdi Avdo, while the fourth official will be international Enea Jorgji. In the VAR system, in addition to Kreshnik Bajramaj, Juxhin Xhaja will be assisted by Greek Angelos Evanxhelu.
The referee observer will be the Polish Marcin Zulc, while the UEFA delegate will be the Dutchman Van Zoest.
Juxhin Xhaja returns to the national team after almost a year since the last match, which was entrusted to the Albanian captain. On October 14, 2024, he was entrusted with the Nations League match, Estonia–Sweden (0-3).
