Lionel Messi's arrival in a Florida neighborhood has caused quite a stir. The Argentine swapped Paris for the US when he signed for Inter Miami last year. "Flea" and his family initially settled in an apartment worth 7 million pounds very close to "Golden Beach".
In September, Leo Messi bought an £8.4million property in Fort Lauderdale, where he is competing with some of Florida's wealthiest residents.
One of them is entrepreneur Patrik Bet-David, who has a combined total of over a billion views on his two YouTube channels.
The businessman revealed that Mesi's arrival has proved to be a boost to other residents, who already live in the gated community he has joined, with the value of Bet-David's property increasing dramatically.
He told "VladTV": " So far, according to the current climate, the value of my house has increased dramatically by multiplying and the value has already reached 25 million dollars (19.5 million pounds). Mesi just moved near my house. Everyone wants to be in our community.
It's a closed community on an island with only one way to go, very safe, very protected. God willing it still is. Now that Mesi is there, everyone comes with their ships to see the houses. We are fine ."
So the arrival of Argentines in this area has caused the property to become more expensive, becoming a tourist attraction, as the desire to visit the place where the Argentine star and eight-time winner of the "Golden Ball" lives has increased.
Mesi's luxury home includes 10 bedrooms, a swimming pool and a fitness room and SPA.
The estate is 10,500 square feet and boasts two boat decks, with water surrounding the gated community island in Bay Colony. The house also has nine bathrooms, an Italian kitchen and a VIP suite.
