The roughly $1.5 billion renovation plans have brought about 250 workers to the ground, with hopes that the new stadium will be ready for the 2025-26 season.

The club announced in July 2022 that they would be leaving their historic ground to play the 2023-24 campaign at the Olympic Stadium, home of the 1992 Summer Games, which is just a few hundred yards away.
But Barcelona says it doesn't want to wait to build the new arena, which will have an even bigger capacity, from 99,354 seats to 105,000.

The renovations will include a new roof for the stadium as well as a name change to the 'Spotify Nou Camp' as part of the sponsorship. The president of the club, Joan Laporta, visited the works at the plant and said that he was impressed by the developments.

According to local network Mundo Deportivo, the club will create new business opportunities for revenue recovery such as clothing and jewelry lines commemorating its history at Camp Nou.
