British pilot Lando Norris won today's sprint race in Brazil, held at the Interlagos track, taking two more points from Max Verstappen and narrowing the gap between them to 45 points.
A race dominated by the McLaren car with both of its drivers taking the first two places. It was Oskar Piastri who started the race from the first place and commanded it for almost 20 laps, opening his arm to his teammate three laps from the end.
The reigning world champion, Red Bull's Dutchman Max Verstappen, took third place on the podium. He suffered a lot in the duel with Charles Leclerc, overtaking him a few laps from the end. He even aimed for second place in the last lap, but without success.
Leklerk with Ferrari was classified fourth, leaving behind his teammate Carlos Sainz. George Russell (sixth), Pier Gasli (seventh) and Sergio Perez (eighth) were also ranked in the points zone. Lewis Hamilton finished the race in 11th place.
The final laps were run under Virtual Safety Car mode due to a Magnusen problem. At that moment, Verstappen tried to overtake Piastri, but he did not succeed, but for that action he is under investigation by the race commissioners...
